My name is Jillian Olson, and I am a Provisionally Licensed Mental Health Practitioner (PLMHP) and a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC). I earned my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from University of Nebraska Omaha in 2021.
As a mental health and substance abuse counselor, I am committed to helping individuals learn how to change their attitudes and beliefs, while learning strategies to address the root cause of their difficulties. I am passionate about creating resources for individuals who are struggling and hold them accountable for the change they desire.
I have provided therapy in a variety of settings. My experience consists of treatment for co-occurring disorders, both adolescent and adult inpatient, and outpatient settings. I worked with adolescents struggling with eating disorders. Completed my internship at Omaha Correctional Center where I conducted groups in the areas of anger management and sex offender treatment. Utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) in all areas of my practice. As an EMDR trained therapist, I specialize in helping individuals with trauma, PTSD, anxiety, and cravings. I am ASI and CASI certified for substances use evaluations.
