Andrea Degner

She/her/hers lmhp,lcsw

Andrea is a fully licensed mental health practitioner and licensed clinical social worker. She has worked in Human Services with the youth for 5 years and adults for 12 years. She has experience with both the juvenile and criminal court systems; as well as, 10 years working specifically with clients who struggle with substance abuse. Andrea specializes in working with clients ages 13 and up, who may be struggling with depression, anxiety and mood disorders. She welcomes all genders, sexual orientations and ethnicities. 

Rebecka Brott

Rebecka Brott is a Provisionally Licensed Mental Health Practitioner (PLMHP), and Provisional Certified Master Social Worker (PCMSW). She earned a Master’s of Social Work degree from the University of Nebraska in Omaha. While earning her degree, Rebecka completed one of her two internships with Compassionate Minds Therapy. Rebecka has years of experience in health and human services and child welfare settings working with children, families, and systems.

Lisa Dunlavy

Lisa Dunlavy is a Provisional Licensed Mental Health Practitioner (PLMHP) and a Provisional Licensed Clinical Social Worker (PLCSW). She received her Bachelors of Science in Health Science at Bellevue University, Bachelors of Arts in Nursing at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, and she received her Master’s of Social Work at Walden University. Lisa has worked in the medical, mental health, and addictions fields for seven years. She has interned and worked in a variety of settings to include: at-risk adolescent transitional homes and outpatient therapy serving dually diagnosed adults.

Kristen Rosenberg

Kristen Rosenberg is a Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner (LIMHP) and Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). She has been practicing in the social work and mental health field for over 10 years. She received her Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology at Milligan College and went on to get her Master’s of Social Work at East Tennessee State University. Kristen has come alongside a variety of individuals in her years of experience - couples struggling with various issues such as infidelity, growing apart or poor communication, individuals and families dealing with grief, terminal illness and end of life care.

Joni Kruntorad

Joni Kruntorad is a Provisionally Licensed Mental Health Practitioner and a National Certified Counselor. She acquired her Master of Science degree with a concentration in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of Nebraska in Omaha. She also holds a Bachelor of Science degree with a concentration in Early Childhood Education and Family Advocacy from the University of Nebraska in Kearney.

Cathleen Handke

SHE/HER/HERS MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC

Cathleen Handke, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC is a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who graduated from Vanderbilt University. Cathleen’s nursing career has taken her a on journey through health care, from inpatient to outpatient settings, consulting services, nursing instructor, and long-term care. She started her career more than 25 years ago practicing as a nurse in a critical access hospital in central Nebraska. She quickly realized that her patient’s mental health can drastically affect their physical health and overall sense of wellbeing.

Karen Gustafson

“My goal is to offer each client a positive experience, so they see counseling as a viable tool for working through a problem.” Karen is a Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner (LIMHP) and a National Board-Certified Counselor (NCC).

Michelle Wilhelm

Michelle Wilhelm is a Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner and Nationally Certified Counselor. She received a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from University of Nebraska Omaha as well as a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from University of West Florida.

Jena McFadden (JOINING SOON)

SHE/HER/HERS DNP, APRN, PMHNP-BC

Dr. Jena McFadden, DNP, APRN, PMHNP-BC is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who graduated from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Her doctoral project addressed compassion fatigue, compassion satisfaction, burnout and secondary stress trauma in the ICU nurses at Nebraska Medicine. Dr. McFadden is passionate about treating the entire person and understanding how the mind, body and spirit interrelate. She has an extensive, past nursing career ranging from adult neurological ICU to Boystown residential treatment center, pre-operative and post-operative care, to outpatient pediatric medicine. She is skilled in diagnosing and treating all major psychiatric disorders through a holistic therapeutic approach combined with medical management and will be accepting patients 12 years of age and older.
