Kodjovi Dogbevi
Counselor
My name is Kodjovi, and I am a Provisional Licensed Mental Health Therapist and Provisional Licensed Social Worker. I firmly believe in the restorative nature of every one of us as human beings by reducing stress, improving focus, renewing hope, and increasing our overall well-being.
I have worked with many children and families for more than a decade in different capacities and roles to overcome depression, anxiety and trauma. Therapy can offer you clarity, hope, and confidence, which can help in making significant changes and acquiring lifelong skills, so you can discover your self-worth.
I enjoy working with a variety of populations across a range of specialties, but I am particularly experienced in helping adolescents, teens and families with anxiety, depression, grief, anger, healthy relationship issues, trauma-related symptoms and more. I can assist you by creating a safe space to explore positive and effective ways to relate to others but more so, how to have a better relationship with yourself.
I use a variety of therapy modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). Both modalities help change distorted thinking as well as process previous experiences. I am also trained in other group therapy modalities, such as CBITS and DBT STEPS-A, to provide interventions to trauma in schools and help develop emotional regulation and problem-solving skills.
I am now accepting new clients and have a variety of appointment times.
