Lisa Dunlavy

Lisa Dunlavy is a Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner (LIMHP), a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), and a Provisional Alcohol and Drug Counselor (PLADC). She received her Bachelors of Science in Health Science at Bellevue University, Bachelors of Arts in Nursing at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, and she received her Master’s of Social Work at Walden University. Lisa has worked in the medical, mental health, and addictions fields for seven years. She has interned and worked in a variety of settings to include: at-risk adolescent transitional homes and outpatient therapy serving dually diagnosed adults.
Her counseling experience ranges from treating adults who struggle with addictions and mental health challenges. She also has experience working with the Veteran population. One of her specialty areas is substance abuse. Lisa provides substance abuse evaluations and recommendations. Lisa is a registered service provider with the state of Nebraska. She offers a person-centered approach to her clients to assist in meeting their individual goals and needs. Lisa is a Veteran of the United States Air Force (USAF). She honorably served eight years before dedicating her life’s work to helping those struggling with mental health challenges. Her unique perspective as a Veteran allows her to not only be an advocate, but a provider to those who have served. Her ultimate goal is to assist in making positive change, self-growth, and to learn how to live in the moment.
